31/5/2025 The Fourth “Winter Pools ” Match at Alvechurch Fishery on Arrow pool.

Ten turned out & we parked next to the pool. The pool looked good around 20 metres wide with 15 pegs down the left side. We pegged “2 & 1” with the high pegs fancied.  

Match Report

Glen Beavon weighed 76-3-0

H. Potter weighed 62-1-0

Dave Earp weighed 53-12-0.

Summary;-  It was big Carp with no F1’s & lots of big Carp lost. Interestingly no one caught chucking to the far side, everyone caught short, shallow or down the margin, mostly on Corn. There was big Ide to be had shallow & lots of Bream short. After an hour the wind got up straight down the pool & the high numbers produced. Special mention for Marcus (junior) who did superbly well weighing over 30lbs. bearing his dad & Grandad. Not forgetting the turnout paid an extra £2 each to avoid a financial loss, cheers.
